Explore The Vermont Marble Trail!
The Vermont Marble Trail is a driving tour along the geological marble corridor running the length of western Vermont. Tourists and residents alike will find a wealth of historical, artistic and cultural experiences as they visit towns and villages where marble was quarried, manufactured and utilized. Vermont's diverse marble beds have been used to create some of the finest buildings in the world as well as stunning works of art found in every state in America and around the world.

Dimensions of Marble will develop a website and brochure highlighting examples of the extensive and practical uses of marble in architecture -- from churches, firehouses and municipal buildings to hitching posts, sidewalks, and calcium carbonate. It will inspire people to seek out the artistry of memorials and monuments, found both on the land and in museums.
Highlighted also will be recreational opportunities, cultural heritage events and noteworthy tourists events. These will all be featured the weekend of July 25, 2008 during a Statewide Celebration.
